Strategic Expansion in the U.S. Market: Insights from Our Visit to Minnesota
As part of its internationalization strategy, Digital Anatomics continues to strengthen its presence in the United States, a key market for the development of advanced surgical planning technologies. Two weeks ago, our CEO, Alberto Aguilar-Montoro, visited Minnesota, one of the world’s leading medtech hubs.
A full schedule of meetings provided the opportunity to engage with medtech companies, investors, and potential strategic partners, with the goal of identifying areas for collaboration in surgical planning software.
The visit was part of Digital Anatomics’ participation in INNOWWIDE, a European Union–funded program supporting early-stage market exploration beyond the EU.
MINNESOTA MEDTECH 3.0
Concurrently, Digital Anatomics was selected to join MN-Cubator, an accelerator program led by Minnesota MedTech 3.0 (GREATER MSP Partnership).
As part of its inaugural cohort, the company is positioned among a group of startups developing AI-driven healthcare solutions. Participation in this initiative grants structured access to local resources, strategic mentorship, and a robust innovation ecosystem with global reach.
With deep roots in Minnesota’s longstanding leadership in medical technology, Minnesota MedTech 3.0 builds on decades of local expertise and infrastructure. The initiative reflects a coordinated effort to evolve this ecosystem toward “Smart MedTech”, a convergence of traditional device engineering with digital tools and data-driven care.
The company also took part in the Medical Alley Innovation Showcase, an event that convenes startups and industry leaders from across the U.S. to exchange insights, foster collaboration, and advance innovation in healthcare through technology.
These initiatives are part of a broader effort to scale Digital Anatomics’ technology globally—growing with perspective, adapting to new contexts, and building trust within the global healthcare community.
