A HOPEFUL IMPACT: 1 WEEK, 3 SUCCESS STORIES
Over the past week, three hospitals in Spain performed their first surgical intervention with our guides, and once again we have been able to prove the efficiency and versatility of our product, adapting to the most complex needs faced by surgeons.
As we continue to grow with our distributors, the adoption of our technology by new hospitals and surgeons becomes the driving force of our business. In this way, we see how our efforts, knowledge and products transform medical care, improving patients’ quality of life.
During the past week, Hospital Quirónsalud in Córdoba, Hospital Insular in Gran Canaria and Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Seville implemented our surgical guide system for the first time, resulting in 3 successful surgeries in which the versatility of our guides and their ability to provide comprehensive solutions to surgeons have been proven once again:
A SOLUTION FOR ALL AGES
🏥 Hospital Quirónsalud in Córdoba
👨⚕️ Dr. Isidro Gavilán Martinez
🦴 Idiopathic scoliosis
📅 09/16/2024
The idea that spinal disorders only affect older people is a misconception. Children and adolescents are also a group of patients who frequently resort to spinal surgery to correct deviations that can lead to greater problems. Dr. Isidro Gavilán performed a idiopathic scoliosis surgery on an teenage patient at Quirón Hospital in Córdoba.
The use of our surgical guide system enabled the successful completion of a complex multi-level arthrodesis (from T3 to L4), utilizing 14 customized surgical guides. Their implementation in younger patients ensures the most precise placement of screws despite the reduced size of their anatomy, with absolute safety and agility, and with less exposure to CT radiation.
PIONEERS IN SURGICAL GUIDES FOR REVISION SURGERIES
🏥 Hospital Insular in Gran Canaria
👨⚕️ Dr. Héctor Delfín Santana
🦴 Lumbar scoliosis
📅 09/17/2024
Innovation is what gave birth to Digital Anatomics and remains a fundamental part of our culture, which is why we actively focus on the needs of surgeons and develop new solutions to facilitate their work with patients.
Following our recent arrival in Gran Canaria, in collaboration with Coray Medical, Dr. Héctor Santana performed surgery on a patient with degenerative lumbar scoliosis, using our TOR JIG S R revision guides. This revolutionary system allows guides to be positioned over pre-existing screws in patients, enabling new trajectories in revision surgeries aimed at extending an arthrodesis, reinforcing the stability of the assembly, or making corrections following a new injury.
In this case, the use of revision guides, in combination with traditional guides, made it possible to successfully carry out this procedure from vertebra L1 to S1, restoring the patient’s balance and mobility.
REDEFINING THE IMPOSSIBLE: SURGICAL GUIDES FOR EMERGENCIES
🏥 Hospital Virgen del Rocío en Sevilla
👨⚕️ Dr. Jose Manuel Almarcha
🦴 Cervical region fracture
📅 09/20/2024
At Digital Anatomics, we have overcome the only barrier that prevented surgeons from applying a proven superior methodology such as the use of surgical guides: time.
Traditional timelines for the design, manufacturing, and delivery of surgical guides (15-30 days) were often incompatible with surgeons’ needs to treat their patients. With Digital Anatomics, the use of surgical guides has become an available option for patients requiring almost immediate intervention.
On Wednesday the 18th, Dr. José Manuel Almarcha sent Digital Anatomics the CT scan of a patient with a cervical region fracture, an anatomically complex and sensitive area. In less than 48 hours, by early Friday, the surgery was performed using our customized surgical guides. Our cutting-edge medical technology, together with an innovative supply chain, allows us to respond to any need with unparalleled speed, ensuring that maximum precision in screw placement prevails, even in emergencies and critical situations.
